It’s a Boy!!

Hi, my name is Tansy.

I’m a wonderful Alpine goat just like Sparky, the father of all this year’s kids.

Sparky and I are the only Alpine goats here, or at least we were until this morning! Now there are 3 of us! This morning I had a baby boy!! Isn’t he the most delicious thing you’ve ever seen?!

Isn’t he beautiful?! His black & white coat just shines! He was a real charmer with visitors today who couldn’t believe how well he could walk for being just a few hours old. You’re in for a treat – we have video!!

What he doesn’t have is a name. Since the older boys got names that started with A, B & C, we need a name for this little guy that starts with the letter “D”. We’re taking your suggestions until Sunday night, 6pm Eastern time. Give us your “D” name suggestions, and your reasons behind your choice, in the comments here or on the human’s Facebook Page.

As with the other boys, we ladies in the barn will go over all your names & reasons and pick either the name we like best or the name with the best reason behind it, we’ll just see how it goes. We’ll again offer fame by announcing who they submitted the chosen name (as will the humans on Facebook & Twitter etc) and along with the honour of naming my kid, we’ll get a photo of the two of you together if you drop out to visit (just give us a heads up that you’re coming).
